But I'm back - and who better to post with than Allison and Brian. During the course of a shoot, a photographer sometimes wants their subjects to be serious. With these two happy folks, it wasn't that easy. And I loved it. We had a great time running around Shelter Island.












We headed over to Humphrey's to poke around.

After a month and a half of fighting, my great Aunt Helen lost the battle for her life. A massive stroke, which occurred on our wedding day, began a series of insurmountable physical issues that proved to be too great.

It was difficult for them to make the 3.5 hour trip south to see us for our wedding, but it was something she really wanted to do. Tia Helen never missed a chance to send us a card to tell me that she was thinking of us. Never. Since my earliest memory, they would send me a card (in her handwriting) and a gift, which always arrived perfectly on time. Every birthday, every Easter, every Thanksgiving, every Christmas, It was remarkable. Her little handwriting is just one of the many things we'll all miss.







I want to thank you all so much for your prayers and support. It really means a great deal to us. The Lord decided to take her home, but not before giving her a full and wonderful life - and an opportunity to witness our wedding. It's her last memory. It's bittersweet. If we may just ask now for prayer for Tio Gilbert, we'd really appreciate it. He's doing pretty well but it's going to be a long road. We will be heading up to support him and celebrate her life.
